Ordinary Time – Being Church in the World
From Wilma Wiens
We are currently in the long season after Pentecost often called Ordinary Time.
This is the season dedicated to growth in our spiritual lives. Growth in knowing and following Jesus. Growth in our awareness of how God is calling us to be in relationship with each other and in the world.
October 14 we began a three-part series called Being Church in the World.
The idea behind the series is to hear from various people how they are “being church in the world” – how they are living out their faith in the work or projects in which they are involved. The plan is to listen, interact in conversation, learn, and explore ways that we might also be involved. The hope is to grow in our spiritual lives – in our relationships with God and with each other and with the world around us.
Future posts will provide details on each event.
